Local Attractions

Whether you’re a life-long resident or recently moved to Kokomo, you’ll learn something new about the community at Discover Kokomo.

A partnership of the Kokomo-Howard County Public Library and Greater Kokomo Visitors Bureau, the free event aims to help residents enjoy the many great amenities and events happening in the community.

It will be 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, at the library’s Main Branch, 220 N. Union St. in downtown Kokomo. All ages are welcome to attend.

Resource tables will be set up throughout the library’s main level and represent organizations in the following areas:

  • Local History
  • Art/Music/Theatre
  • Parks/Recreation/Outdoors
  • Family Fun
  • Downtown Art, Attractions & Activities

There will also be special guests presenting at the event, including the following:

  • Kokomo Humane Society “Dog Talk” at 11:30 a.m.
  • Crown Haven Center “Animal Education” at noon
  • Kokomo Civic Theatre – special performance of “Mamma Mia” at 12:30 p.m.
  • Kokomo Senior Citizens Center – “Chair Yoga” by Kay – 1 p.m.
  • Koko-Go Bike Share Program – 1:30 p.m.

Attendees will also be able to register for a new library card, enter drawings for prizes and pick up a new Kokomo trail experience map.
