National Tuskegee Airmen Exhibit open for Kokomo Students and the Community; Artworks Gallery; Free admission; Come celebrate the amazing story of the first Black Army Air Corps pilots at Artworks Gallery with the special Black History exhibition, “TUSKEGEE AIRMEN: America’s Freedom Flyers;” Check out panels and artifacts that tell the enduring, inspirational story of Tuskegee Airmen from around the World who fought for the right to defend their country; Learn about local history through our very own Hometown Heroes!; After the special community presentation, the exhibition will be traveling to other locations around the country; Artworks Gallery is open Monday – Saturday from 12 noon-4 p.m. Additional tour times may be possible by special arrangement. Artwork created in various mediums including digital, drawing, printmaking, painting, and more will be on display. The opening reception is on Jan 29th, from 4-6 PM and the exhibit will continue to be up till February 20th at 5:00 PM. The IUK Art Gallery is open Monday-Thursday from 10 AM – 5 PM, and as always is free and open to the public.
