Concert series announces 2022-23 season

Since 1957, Kokomo Community Concerts has been bringing world class entertainment to the Kokomo community. This season, in continuance of its mission to enrich the community through live performing arts, the nonprofit will host 6 shows with diverse acts from around the world.

All concerts will be performed in the Kokomo High School Auditorium, 2501 S. Berkley Road, Kokomo.

This year’s line-up includes:

Beginnings: The Music of Chicago
7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 9
This ultimate Chicago tribute band brings back the unforgettable sounds that defined five decades of music. This band’s spectacular brass, guitar, and vocal melodies will take you back in time! A night to celebrate Chicago!

Decades of Love: Ernie Haase & Signature Sound
2:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 16
This quartet has performed Southern Gospel around the world. The ensemble performs beloved favorites, including George Gershwin, Nat “King” Cole, James Taylor, John Legend and Disney.

David Osborne
7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29
David has performed at the White House more than 50 times and is resident pianist at the Las Vegas Bellagio Hotel. His playlist includes romantic, classical, jazz, pop, patriotic, and Broadway music. A night of fun!

Gary Mauer
7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10, 2023
Gary is a Broadway and national tour actor who starred in leading roles in Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, and Show Boat.  Gary, his wife Elizabeth Southard, and pianist Sue Anderson will perform Broadway favorites from Phantom, Les Mis, The Music Man, West Side Story, My Fair Lady, and other Broadway classics.

Frisson Ensemble
2:30 p.m. Sunday, March 5, 2023
These woodwind, string, and piano musicians will bring frisson (French for “shiver or thrill”) with their program of classical, popular, folk, and jazz favorites from George Gershwin, Cole Porter, Scott Joplin, and other American artists.

Troupe Vertigo
7 p.m. Saturday, April 22, 2023
Troupe Vertigo’s eclectic and innovative mix of circus, dance, and theater creates a spellbinding performance. Prepare to be amazed by stunning physical feats choreographed into works of art!

Single tickets are $20 and season tickets are $50. Single tickets for students and children are free. Tickets may be purchased online at kokomocommunityconcerts.org or at the following locations:
