St. Patrick’s Day fun in downtown Kokomo

Looking for some St. Patrick’s Day fun this week? Head to downtown Kokomo, where you’ll find events throughout the week that cater to people of all ages.

Start celebrating early with a cookie decorating class at MO Joe Coffee House. The class starts at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, March 16. Participants will be able to decorate 4 cookies and will get an additional, already-decorated cookie to take home. The class is $35 per person.

If you’re 21 and older, there are several ways to celebrate the holiday this week. On Thursday, March 17, enjoy drink specials at Cooper’s Pub, one of downtown’s newest restaurants. The pub will be opening early that day starting at noon, meaning you have plenty of time to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day!

The Coterie will have events Thursday, Friday and Saturday to celebrate the holiday, with live music and drink specials throughout the weekend. Each night carries a $5 cover charge.

Saturday, March 19, those of all ages are invited to CASA’s St. Patrick’s Day Beer 5k. Those 21 and older will receive a Sun King beer with their registration. The event will include a costume contest, and The Middle of Nowhere Food Truck will be onsite selling Chicago-style hot dogs. The race starts at noon.
