The Kokomo Howard County Public Library is known for hosting family-friendly, educational, creative, and fun events throughout the year. This February, there are dozens of activities for children, teens, and adults to do that allow them to have fun while also learn something new. All their events are held at the different library branches and are free, which is the best part!
The library is showing some love this month with lovely Valentine’s Day activities at all of their branches! Whether you are looking for craft workshops for the kids to make cards for loved ones, or you are searching for a class to make “art with a heart,” you can find plenty of Valentine’s Day fun on KHCPL’s website below.
February is also Black History Month, and the Main branch is celebrating with “Flight to Freedom” on Feb. 19. Experience the heroic story about the Tuskegee Airmen who served in World War II, as well as their connection to our community.
Finally, the Main branch will wrap up the month with an African-American Read-In on Feb. 28. In this special event, you can learn about African-American innovators and notable people in history and hear Hoosier children’s author Jalysa King read her poetry and stories.
