Kokomo Howard County Public Library offers unique activities in September

The Kokomo Howard County Public Library is known for hosting family-friendly, educational, creative, and fun events throughout the year. This September, there are dozens of activities for children, teens, and adults to do that allow them to have fun while also learn something new. All their events are held at the different library branches and are free, which is the best part!

The library is joining the First Friday fun with two big events happening in downtown Kokomo on Sept. 6! First, check out the Main Branch’s Movie Night with crafts and special treats! Next, enjoy the 48-Hour Film Contest Screening at Sun King Brewery, where you can watch movies created by local filmmakers.

Let your child’s imagination soar with Aviation Adventure, held at the Main Branch on Sept. 10! The Grissom Air Museum will be highlighting everything about aviation, and children can make their own glider.

Finally, the library will be partnering with the IU Kokomo Library to host a community-wide book club. “Pages Across Kokomo” is a new program where everyone in the community is invited to join a literary discussion. The first meeting will be held on Sept. 30 at the South Branch.
