The weekly, late-summer concert series typically runs from July to September, with concerts beginning at 7 p.m. every week on Thursdays. Shows move to the Howard County 4-H Fairground when there is rain. Audiences, often accumulating to more than 100 people, gather Thursday evenings on Meridian Street in front of the Greentown Glass Museum, just north of Ind. 22.
The Music at the Fountain name refers to the decorative fountain in front of the museum. The concert series incorporates different genres of music every week, ranging from classic rock, Dixieland jazz and Southern gospel, among others.
