Kokomo Opalescent Glass Factory Tour

Kokomo Opalescent Glass is America’s oldest art glass company and has been making art glass in its original location in Kokomo since 1888 – truly a fusion of art and history!  Go “behind-the-scenes” to watch as glass is hand-ladled, mixed and rolled from a 2,500-degree furnace.  Glass made in Kokomo is shipped worldwide.

Public factory tours are currently offered Mondays through Saturdays at 11 a.m.  Tour takes approximately 1.5 hours.  Reservations are required for factory tours.  Call 765-457-1829 in advance to schedule a tour.  Explore the rich heritage and long standing tradition of Kokomo Opalescent Glass!

The OP Shop

After touring the factory at Kokomo Opalescent Glass, take a piece of Kokomo home with you!  Beautiful glass items (all made in Kokomo) are available, including jewelry, suncatchers, serving boards, paperweights, and stunning unique blown glass creations.  The OP Shop is open Monday-Friday 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Note: KOG public factory tours are offered Monday-Saturday at 11 a.m.

Seiberling Mansion

The Seiberling Mansion was built in 1891 by industrialist Monroe Seiberling.  Though the Seiberling family only lived in the home a few years, the legacy of the historic and stunning mansion lives on, now as the home of the Howard County Museum.  Look for the magnificent stained glass windows located throughout, which are made with Kokomo Opalescent Glass!  Museum is open Tuesday-Sunday 1-4 p.m.  Stunning holiday tours available starting the Saturday after Thanksgiving.
