Art on fire!

We invite you to visit Kokomo! Go behind the scenes of America’s oldest art glass company, tour the magnificent Seiberling Mansion, and explore our local flavor and culture.

Kokomo Opalescent Glass Factory Tour

Kokomo Opalescent Glass is America’s oldest art glass company and has been making art glass in its original location in Kokomo since 1888 – truly a fusion of art and history!  Go “behind-the-scenes” to watch as glass is hand-ladled, mixed and rolled from a 2,500-degree furnace and see demonstrations of traditional glass blowing from local artisans in the Hot Glass Studio.

Public factory tours are currently offered Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays at 11:00 a.m.  Tour takes approximately 1.5 hours.  Reservations are required for factory tours.  Call 765-457-1829 in advance to schedule a tour.  Explore the rich heritage and long standing tradition of Kokomo Opalescent Glass!

Seiberling Mansion

The Seiberling Mansion was built in 1891 by industrialist Monroe Seiberling.  Though the Seiberling family only lived in the home a few years, the legacy of the historic and stunning mansion lives on, now as the home of the Howard County Museum.  Look for the magnificent stained glass windows located throughout, which are made with Kokomo Opalescent Glass!  Museum is open Tuesday-Sunday 1:00-4:00 p.m.  Stunning holiday tours available starting the Saturday after Thanksgiving.

Kokomo Beach Family Aquatic Center

Cool off at this outdoor waterpark with high energy water slides, lazy river, kiddie slides, leisure and lap pools, and kid’s splash pad.  Family changing rooms, lockers, and concessions are available.

Sun King Brewing Kokomo

More than just a bar, our tap room is home to the entire brewing process. We brew it here, pour it here, and enjoy it here. If you’re new to craft beers or just undecided, our “beertenders” are happy to discuss the different styles and flavors available. If you’re a well-seasoned beer lover, we hope you enjoy our takes on classic beers and explore some of our experimental offerings. Sun King Kokomo is a place for the entire family, and we hope you enjoy the games and activities located inside and in the park area outside.
