The Kirkendall Interpretive Center is nestled into Jackson Morrow Park. Learn about the native Indiana wildlife and see a large diorama of preserved animals including a beaver, groundhog, albino muskrat, red-tailed hawk, fox squirrels, red and grey fox, barn owl, bobcats, deer, ruffed grouse, pheasants, red bird, raccoon, great blue herron, and badger. Several display cases hold fish mounts, butterflies, insects, fossils and educational displays. Open seasonally May 1 – August 31 on Tuesday-Friday 1-5pm, Saturday 11am-4pm and Sunday 1-4pm. Open September 1 – April 30 on Tuesday & Thursday 2-5pm, Saturday 11am-4pm & Sunday 1-4pm. Admission is free.
