Thirty-six films from 11 countries will be screened in downtown Kokomo as part of the third annual Hoosierdance Film Festival. Also showing will be the films recorded during the first 48 Hour Film contest.
The films will be shown June 8 to 10 at Bind Cafe and Cook McDoogal’s. Find the complete schedule here.
Event organizers say a variety of films will be screen, including everything from dramas to comedies.
“We have narrative films and documentaries,” Myers said in a press release. “Films with character-driven stories. You won’t find any cookie-cutter superhero films.”
And downtown was an ideal location for the film festival.
“You can visit the other businesses downtown like Kokomo Toys or Cobalt Charm Boutique and then watch a block of films,” Myers offered. “Then you can discuss them over dinner at Cook McDoogal’s or Oscar’s Pizza or Three Amigos.”
You can purchase tickets for a single screening for $7 or a pass for the entire festival for $20. The festival pass also gains you access to a concert at American Dream Hi-Fi and a free appetizer at Wings Etc.
