Kokomo Civic Theatre presents “Boeing Boeing”; IU Kokomo Havens Auditorium; If you love to laugh, Boeing Boeing is sure to have you rolling in the aisles! Parisian bachelor Bernard is dating three flight attendants, from three different countries, and they all believe they’re engaged to him. Normally their schedules bring them to Bernard’s Paris apartment on different days of the week. But their schedules change, and all of the women end up at his apartment on the same day. Annual fundraising walk that supports women and children at the Kokomo Rescue Mission; One-mile route will include tours of our women’s shelters: Watered Garden Shelter (women) and Open Arms Shelter (women & women with children); Start time and opening ceremony is 8:30 a.m. in the gravel parking lot at the corner of Taylor and Armstrong.; Breakfast will be available at Grace UMC from 8:30-11 a.m.; Open Arms will also host a warming center with hot chocolate; Visit kokomorescuemission.org/walk-a-mile/.

The event, sponsored by Comprehensive Planning Corp, will feature trombonist John Huntoon on “Slidin’ Down the Mississippi” and the Retired Rum-Runners Traditional Jazz Band.  Along with festive music from the French Quarter of New Orleans, the band will perform major works consisting of two collections based on Cajun folk music by composer Frank Ticheli.  At intermission, the IU-K Flute Choir will perform New Orleans themed music.  Beads and Mardi Gras cookies will be available for the audience.   Admission is free but folks are encouraged to to bring toiletry items including body wash, deodorant and bathroom tissue for C.A.M.
