It’s cold outside so escape into the world of art! Three galleries in Kokomo have special exhibits this month.

“Raw: The Exhibition”
“Raw: The Exhibition” features work that is autobiographical personal expression and has been curated by intern Mary Ade. The opening reception is 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 8, in the art gallery. There will be refreshments, and the free event is open to the public.
The work will stay on exhibit until March 3 in the IU Kokomo Art Gallery in the Kelley Student Center on the Indiana University Kokomo campus. Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 4 Thursday, and noon to 4 p.m. Saturday. Closed Sundays and Fridays.

“Face Time”
Featuring art from the Kokomo Art Association’s permanent collection, “Face Time” includes portraits in a variety of media. The exhibit will be on display through February at the Kokomo Art Center, 525 W. Ricketts St.

“Foundations”
The IU Kokomo Union Street Gallery in downtown will showcase IU Kokomo student artwork from the Foundations courses in an exhibit on display through Feb. 23. Gallery hours are 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday to Friday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.
