** This event was originally scheduled for Sunday, March 25, but was postponed due to high winds**
On Saturday, March 31, more than 20,000 candy-filled eggs will fall from the skies over Kokomo Municipal Stadium. Well, they’ll actually be dropped by a skydiver flying overhead.
Brought to you by the city of Kokomo and Oakbrook Church, the event starts at 4 p.m., with gates opening at 2:30 p.m. Organizers say egg-collecting hopefuls began lining up an hour before the gates open, so you’ll want to get there early.
The event is open to kids up to 11 years old. Younger children will have age-appropriate zones separated from each other. Only parents of 1- to 3-year-olds will be allowed on the field. Parents from other age groups will be able to watch and encourage their children from the boundary lines, just a few feet from the egg hunt field.
There’s no cost but you do need to register in advance, which you can do here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/egg-drop-kokomo-2018-tickets-43352960873
Concessions will be available and there will be door prizes.
