KOG, America’s oldest art glass company, has been making art glass in Kokomo since 1888. Get a “behind-the-scenes tour” to watch as glass is hand-ladled and rolled from a 2,500 degree furnace and see demonstrations of glass blowing from local artisans. Public tours offered Monday-Friday at 10 a.m.
After touring the glass factory at KOG, take a piece of Kokomo home with you! Beautiful glass items (all made in Kokomo) are available, including jewelry, suncatchers, serving boards, and stunning blown glass creations.
Take a stroll down memory lane to explore this stunning collection of over 100 vintage and classic cars, including several made in Kokomo in the late 1890’s and early 1900’s by Haynes, Apperson, and Maxwell.
Visit former home of Kokomo resident and famous local inventor, Elwood Haynes’, now housing a collection of his possessions and inventions, including stainless steel, multiple alloys, and a revolving exhibit of his early automobiles. Kokomo’s current ties to the automotive industry are also chronicled.

Blondie’s Cookies can be found in many locations throughout Indiana, but got its start in Kokomo by local owner Brenda Coffman! Featuring fresh baked cookies, bars & brownies. If you love chocolate, try the Koko Swirl cookies – they melt in your mouth!
Enjoy lunch or dinner at Half Moon, locally owned and operated. Specialties include their house-smoked BBQ, fresh cut steaks, and selection of local hand-crafted beers, such as the Kokomonster and Wildcat Wheat.
Many race drivers got their start in Kokomo, racing at the Kokomo Speedway. Races are held weekly on Sunday evenings from May-September. Special events include the Kokomo Grand Prix, Sprint Car Smackdown, and Kokomo Klash.
